“Present and promote global solutions for business processes”
When offering advisory services, PROBATUS emphasises the necessary blend of several aspects, namely financial, marketing, and technological, taking into account local circumstances in Brazil. This page in English gives only a brief overview of the site's content.
| • |
PROBATUS is able to carry out advisory projects for different types of businesses such as: development of scenarios and of business plans (strategic plans), and environmental impact assessments (see figure below).
|
|
| • |
Additionally, we are able to give advice on personal financial planning. |
|
| • |
Together with consulting activities, PROBATUS offers courses and seminars, which may also be held for specific groups (in-company). |

An indication of our commitment to produce and deliver reports and projects that are applicable, concise, and dense, with theoretical innovation linked to business' interests can be seen in the book "CRISE E PROSPERIDADE COMERCIAL, FINANCEIRA E POLÍTICA", as well as in many other papers presented in scientific conferences and in numerous articles published in the press since 2004. All the work already carried out and those presented in Portuguese in this site result from life experience associated with a thorough cross-disciplinary study and research.

ATTENTION: Check on the paper "International Pricing Strategy: Why Prices Rise and How Prices Change", which Marcelo Henriques de Brito presented at The Eigth Brazilian Finance Society Meeting held on July 2008, that new arguments and an original mathematical model point out that there is indeed a link between "The Big Mac Index" data and the UBS study "Prices and Earnings around the Globe". The work elucidates pricing policy beyond what is explained in traditional financial textbooks. A previous paper in Portuguese presented in 2004 in a finance conference in Brazil won a prize. The new article in English furthers the research, showing that two independent data source confirm the findings and conclusions.
For a quick overview to the lay public, check: THE BIG MAC AND THE REAL - OVERVALUED?. (A one-page text in English published on The Umbrella, which is produced by the British&Commonwealth Society of Rio de Janeiro for the English-speaking Community.)

ANOTHER SUGGESTION: Read the work "The Interaction of the Exchange Rate Variation with Decisions Regarding Monetary Policy and Investments in Brazil", which was published at RBRS International on the December 2009 printed and electronic editions, after a previous version was selected for presentation in October 2009 at the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management - ICIEOM. This work evidences that investors’ decisions in Brazil regarding the investment type (fixed income or equity) should consider the outlook for the exchange rate variation. Such prospect may also influence the decisions of The Monetary Policy Committee (Copom) of Brazil’s Central Bank (BCB) regarding the target for the basic short-term interest rate in Brazil (known as Over-Selic interest rate).
